Bear with me:
In January, I hopped onto the ‘Jungle January’ bandwagon via Pretty Grievances‘ blog. I was paired off with the lovely Kate of Fabrickated, and we sent each other jungly fabrics. She’s blogged all about it (and me) here.
I had such fun, I ploughed on into ‘Zeb-ruary’, which was just an excuse to feature my new Style Arc ‘Amy’ top in a fabulous digital zebra jersey from MyFabrics.
For the fun of it, I wore only black and white (and some grey) all month.
Like this. [Style Arc ‘Twiggy’ in ponte.]
Bored with monochrome, I pronounced March’s theme: ‘Spring Greens’, and commenced to sew a gazillion or so green items, including jeans topstitched in green and a silk top [Style Arc ‘Lexie’]
Can you detect a bit of a Style Arc thing going on here? I’m a big fan…
April arrived, and I couldn’t for the life of me think of a snappy title. And so finally, the name of this post is explained! Sigh.
I’ve been enjoying my Easter break though, and have sewed LOADS of goodies, including a Vogue 1140 jacket for me (on Pattern Review here), two pairs of leggings and three shirts for the wife, and an aborted attempt at the four square dress. It’s not yet abandoned, but I really can’t face the unpicking yet.
Right. I’m off to finish those three shirts, and I’ll be back. I’m not currently wild about the way images appear in the posts, this needs some work. Any advice?
Go girl! Just go!

Hello DF, thanks for the link.
Can’t help with the pics, I’m a techno-dunce. They look alright to me. That four square dress is beautiful, get unpicking! It’s a bit advanced for me, but I’d love to see yours. Good luck with your blog 🙂

Hi! It will be unpicked…just not yet. I hate unpicking and the fabric is fraying like…[insert choice here.]

Many thanks for the link – I am now happy – I do like your sewing but as I am quite a lot bigger than you, I can’t really copy it. Maybe I can adapt. I also hate unpicking anything but I have to do it now and again.

I don’t think it’s size, but proportion/shape that’s the key…and personal taste and attitude. I’ve seen plenty of people of all shapes and sizes rocking similar looks, against all expectation. I just go for it now, and can still be surprised at stuff that works.

I think you may have to change to a different template to get your photos appearing differently but don’t quote me!

I’ve worked some of the bugs out today, but sometimes I finish laying it out nicely while editing, and then in the real post it all goes wonky again…not always though. Ah well, early days!

I could tell you how to do pictures, but mine have been misbehaving so what do I know. But I find the iPhone 6 is as good as any fancy camera. I put pictures in as large as they will go and use gallery to put two or three together. Good luck and thanks for the mention!
