Geddit? geddit?
I’ll get me coat.
Anyway, all I meant was, having had a lovely bacony breakfast, cooked by ma belle femme, we trotted off to the shops and got the required coconut, plus a whole heap of goodies from our local cake decorating emporium…

My niece has asked me to make her daughter’s birthday cake. It’s going to be lilac and pink, with little butterflies, and [probably] some polka dots. Time will tell. All the little bits and bobs, boards and box etc came to nearly twenty squid. Lawks!
I’ve made the cakes, and they are now cooling. They were going to be plain old roundcakes, but then I remembered the topsy turvy cake tins which I bought at HUGE expense to make my daughter’s wedding cake. So I used the two smallest, ample for a 5-year-old’s birthday tea.
Here they are, and a glimpse at the goodies to come. I have to get this ready for collection on Friday- I’m having a tooth out on Wednesday, and work late on Thursday, so my real deadline is Tuesday. Watch this space…
I’m no expert at this, so be kind when you see the end result please.
Here’s one I made earlier lol
Well at first glance I thought you had made a sewing machine cake. I actually think you could do that, couldn’t you dear DF?
