4. Drinking (This is not me!)
In no particular order, to be applied as and when I see fit, and repeated until I go back to work in a week’s time: hurrah! We survived Ofsted, and I aten’t dead.
This weekend is Birmingham Gay Pride.
[This is NOT me either!]
We’ll wander in and watch the parade [unless the weather’s horrible as it so often is at this time of year.] We’re not going to be forking out £20 each for passes, so won’t be wandering down the road in the ‘Gay Village’ just to be squashed, jostled and deafened by trashy music…but we love to sit at a street cafe just about where the parade ends, and watch the world go by in a more civilised way.
If that makes me sound like a mardy old killjoy, so be it, but I can do without crowds!
(This is me!)
Before we go to watch the parade, we’re going to support a friend’s son as his Youth Theatre are having a Breast Cancer Awareness bake sale in the morning. Two birds with one stone (and three cakes.)
I couldn’t decide what to make, so, armed with 2 kilos of bargain price banananananananas, I’m making bananananana cake, lemon drizzle, and coconut and lime cakes. I plan to slice them up, and package them fairly attractively with a slice of each flavour on a tray.
I’ve printed off some pretty labels, and that will have to do lol!
As for the sewing- well, there’s stuff cut out and waiting, and I may have to do a little something with my rainbow zebras- what better garment to wear to Pride after all?
