No Self Control…

  1. Great haul you got there! Looking forward to seeing some new creations from the House of Fairy. But please, stop it with the temptation, will you! I’ve just gone and bought 4 lengths of fabric from the Textile Centre since I read your post. In fairness they’ve been on my watch list for ages, and some stocks are running low, so it was silly not to……..who am I kidding? I don’t stand a hope in hell of getting any of it made up in the near future. I just drape them on my dummy and admire 🙂

      1. Ha ha! I never stop sewing! Too busy with internet disaster wedding dresses for distressed brides, now that the prom dress panics are over, lol! I did take a couple of hours off last week though, to make myself a jersey maxi dress. Thoroughly enjoyed it 🙂

  2. I don’t miss the marking but I do miss the money!
No haul for me this year so I’m living vicariously through you – keep it up!

  3. I’ve ordered from Cheapest fabrics in the past with no problems and liked what I got. No doubt you will disappear under a mountain of fabric in the not too distant future. Nice fabrics on order by the way.

  4. Hmm. I love the way you have shown exactly what you have ordered, but I wish you hadn’t posted this as I am trying to use up what I have. But a small peek won’t hurt….

    1. Well I used to think that my hoard was excessive, but I do use it up fairly speedily, and it clearly doesn’t compare with some folks’ outrageous stashes. The stuff that’s been around for a long time tends to be very cheapo, and dates from my operatic costuming days…mostly suitable for clothing 60 peasants. Not all that inspiring, and should probably go for dusters! I also keep too many small bits, but hate patchwork. Sigh.

  5. Happy birthday to Dawn. I love the the look of the poppy print twill, but must resist as I have been on a little buying spree myself and have gone floral mad. There is a Textile Centre shop in Walthamstow and I snaffled the last of some gorgeous floral scuba.

    1. Quiet? Me? I haven’t been posting a great deal while I’ve been exam marking, and I’m slightly subdued while I wait to hear about my job…but I’m busy sewing!
