Sleeves on, sleeves off..
One of my FB advisors, who is also making this jacket, said that she had made the back princess seam line up with the sleeve seam, and maybe this was something to look at? Here it is on mine, not lined up as you see. I followed the instructions and made the front ones line up instead. This would suggest that my suspicion that the whole sleeve needs to be rotated back a little may be correct.
Then I took the sleeves out, and laboriously took a series of pics. Laborious because my wife has gone out, and our camera will only take one timer pic…and you have to guess where to stand, etc etc.
Bear in mind that some of the wrinkles on the curved seams are because, pending fitting, I have not clipped the seam allowances yet. Also, the boning casings are very roughly basted in.
There seems to be something amiss on the left side only. Not major, but something.
The right hand side is OK, nice and smooth
But on the left side, it’s puling from the waistline, where I took it in slightly- have I twisted the seam?
The lady from Truly Victorian’s Facebook page said that it looked too high to her, as if the distance from bustpoint to shoulder should be tugged down. She also suggested that I may need to scoop out the underarm slightly.
Advice and opinions please?
Is the armhole bubbling out at the front a bit and if so can you fix it with either a couple of very small inconspicuous darts or some determined shrinking?

Yep, already done both, which APPEARS to have done the trick.. I’l try it on with sleeves basted in again very soon, and we’ll find out. Fingers crossed!
