Here’s the black and ivory lace Edwardian blouse. I won’t be wearing it with this silver skirt, but there’s a limit to how many costume changes I can bear in one shoot! It’s very light, smooth and comfortable, so will be great to wear to Asylum in August. It’s meant to be worn tucked in, with a belt or high waisted skirt. The more I look at these pics, I realise I need to do a repair job on the silver skirt- the satin layer is pouching over the pleated trim at the front, and it’s irking me. Bum.
The second SWAP blouse was made before the SWAP began-and was blogged right at the start of my steampunk escapades. It’s the silver linen, from an ancient worm-eaten Gunne Saxe pattern [Simplicity 5607]. It works quite nicely here with the breeches, and also with the black skirt I first made, and the green skirt from pack #1. Not bad!
