Well that took longer than expected…but all the braiding is done, all the bones got matched to their casings and sewn onto the seam allowances, and the bottom edge of the lining has been attached, trimmed, pressed and understitched.
I’ve got the buttonholer set up to make ten buttonholes tomorrow, and the only other stitching still to do is to attach the sleeve linings around the armhole, but that’s not biggie. Oh yes, and all those buttons. Sigh.
Then I shall do some cutting out: the purple tail bodice, and three strange garments with the strappy tops of lederhosen attached to gathered skirts. In a nice corduroy. [Another one of my doctor daughter’s odd costume requests, the last time it was three ‘broken doll’ outfits…]
