I haven’t done my hair for these, but I’m still pretty chuffed with the final look. The bodice did up with no trouble at all beyond the buttonholes being a bit stiff still… First, silver underskirt, lilac drape/overskirt, and lilac bodice: I keep seeing that sag at the front of the silver skirt, and it’s … Continue reading SWA(SP)P 2016-Pack 2[and 4]-#17: Done and dusted
It’s all cut out, and the underlining is attached. I’m using some scraps of lightweight denim to make chest and back interlining/interfacing/thingy whatnots, in my own version of tailoring. The fabric has a gorgeous colour and texture, but is definitely more lightweight than would perhaps be ideal…however, it will be getting most of its wear … Continue reading SWA(SP)P 2016-Wildcards-#10: Riding jacket progress

Mostly to taste, but needs to be in balance width of ‘bight’, basically the zigzag width width of the hole in the middle Obviously the thread tension also needs adjustment… I was … Continue reading Cute as a button [hole]
Actually several things: I bought an ‘antique’ riding crop on ebay I made some ribbon cockades/rosettes And I got the Singer buttonholer working! Brilliant day! Continue reading I done a thing!
