Four hours, five camera battery changes, 154 pictures, countless changes, a couple of tea breaks, one wife rolling down our rather steep garden squeaking in alarm, and a HUGE heap of garments and accessories to clear away afterwards.
We’re SHATTERED.
Way too many pics to bore you with the lot, but here are the composites which I’ve submitted as my entry on Artisan’s Square/Stitcher’s Guild for the 2016 SWAP competition. I’ve put loads more elsewhere, as the memory on WordPress is filling up fast!
Wow, wow. Worth every hot, sticky tiring minute for those fantastic pics. I can’t decide on a favourite so I won’t try. Each picture shines, from the elegant silver pleated skirt with beautiful coat, the lovely blue dress with the feather headdress to the fun safari outfit. You will get my vote. Now have a big g & t and a sit down.

Thank you! She did a great job with the pics, despite being as hot, tired, and sticky as I was. She even cooked me dinner while I was faffing about editing afterwards. I didn’t need to crop or tweak a single one either. Amazing. She’s a keeper!

Thanks- it’s actually the first time I’ve worked to a plan, and I loved it. I’m trying [and failing] to get my lovely missus to make a plan for her steampunk wardrobe…I’ll keep on at her!

I’ve followed all your posts regarding this wonderful make and I rarely comment…(Sorry…It’s me. I don’t feel like I have the adequate words sometimes, to sound as sincere and amazed as I am by it all). It all looks great and you’ve had a lovely day to get some gorgeous photographs. Absolutely brilliant!

Wow, wow, wow. you look absolutely fantastic. The photos are super – well done to your lovely missus. So many outfits and so many that co-ordinate, your planning has been amazing. I think a celebration is in order. Oh yes, the garden looks pretty good too.

the garden is all down to the missus too- it was a wasteland when we moved in 3 years ago. She’s a keeper alright!

These are totally fantastic and amazing outfits. You look great in them and you deserve to win. (Can we vote somewhere??) What a lot of amazing work and such talent. How about wearing the pith helmet to college the last day of term? Oh, go on, you know you want to!

Aw thanks! I will DEFINITELY be wearing the pith helmet to work, and possibly some of the other gear as well, to amuse my students. In fact, the first A level exam is tomorrow morning, it might be the ideal thing to lighten the mood! Voting is at the Stitchers’ Guild, but you have to join to vote. Here’s a link anyway http://artisanssquare.com/sg/index.php

Exceptional. How gifted and passionate you are. I’m sorely coveting so many individual items here. Can I see enlargements of these pictures somewhere? Congratulations 😀

There’s a link in the post to IMGUR, where I put about 50 shots- I think the site is having trouble right this minute [I can’t access it from here any way]. Here’s the link again http://imgur.com/gallery/3Gfzt/new
