No I’m not going to talk about THAT, I still feel very raw and upset. Instead, a distraction: two more dates for rag market meets, which will follow neatly after all my exam marking and the start of my summer break. Get your diaries, and book those tickets, join us for some fabric frenzy:
Tuesday July 26th and Saturday July 30th.
Itinerary
1.Meeting in the church tea rooms, St Martin in the Bullring, Birmingham, at 1030-11 am.
2.Fortified, and with objectives shared, a tour of the Rag Market, making sure you find the best stalls. This takes roughly 1-1.5 hours, depending on how many times we lose one another and the amount of fabric purchased, and how many outside stalls catch your notice.
3. Lunch at one of the fab eateries nearby- last time we went Japanese.
4. Over the road to the three floors of the Fancy Silk Store- more expensive but mind boggling.
5. Brief loo break at the tea rooms, then a ten minute walk to Barry’s Warehouse.
By this point, it’s usually around 4 or 430 [in case you need to book tickets] and any survivors head to the pub for fortification and a stash photo.
Just devastating!
Good luck with your Rag Market visit and distraction. Is anyone welcome? It’s a bit unlikely as I live in the South East, but I would love to visit sometime.

Absolutely all welcome- last time we had a lovely group of folks I’ve met via The Sewing Forum, my blog, and FaceBook. All joined by a devouring need to stroke and buy lots of cloth!

Trying not to think about how gutted I am. Sounds amazing. Fabric is definitely the best panacea for all life’s ills. 🙂 Xx

I also had a lovely hour or so discussing plans for a great pal’s wedding outfit for next year. So exciting!

That would be a joy- you can always NOT bring your bank card or cash, and force yourself to enable everyone else instead. Yeah, right.
