Get it? Go on, you know you do
Anyway, after all that hoo-ha this morning, it turned out that the only problem was that the sleeve piece had been turned 90degrees. unfortunately, that means that my plans for stripes in all directions are blown to smithereens.
Accordingly, I recut the cuffs to be plain black, and then just whizzed the bulk of it together. Here’s the back yoke, pretty snazzy:
It’s not pressed yet, but it’s coming on. French seams on sides and shoulders, cuffs and collars prepped ready to turn. So I had a play with the sleeves-to-be, using some scraps from the original mis-cut yokes. What do you think?
Should be done in no time now, thank gawd!
You are a better woman than I… at this point, I would have crumpled it into a ball, thrown it across the room, then run over and stomped on it. I suspect I’d be using language that is unbecoming of a lady all the while too.

The words patience and saint come to mind. I’m sure it will all be worth it in the end.
