Hi all
A quick post to see if anyone is up for some Birmingham rag-market shopping over Easter. I’m planning to go into town as often as possible over the break, probably getting habby for the many projects I’m planning to cut out this weekend.
Dates under offer are
Tuesdays 11th and 18th, and Saturday 22nd April
For those who haven’t been before, we always follow the same pattern: meet for tea, tour of the Rag Markets, inside and out, then lunch at one of the many eateries close by. Refreshed, we ‘do’ The Fancy Silk Store, then have a quick break before heading round to Barry’s warehouse. Exhausted, and bankrupt, we end up in the pub for refreshments and mutual ogling of our new stash additions.
Let me know if you fancy it. The one after this won’t be til Whitsun week, so get your spring buying in!
I’m tempted Elaine, I know that I have plans around those dates but if I can manage to I’d like to be there. It’s ages since I last visited and Lord knows I don’t need ny more fabric, but when did need make any difference anyway? It’d be good to meet up with p like minded folk and talk sewing while raising a glass or two. 🍷

Ooooh do it do it do it! I always go resolving NOT to make any impulse buys. Well, we know how THAT story ends…

One of these days I’m going to do this. In the meantime I’ll just have to be content with vicarious fabric ogling.

Actually I’m doing some serious stash busting, and uncovering lovely yardage I didn’t know I’d got [oops]. I knocked up another ‘Spring Greens’ dress today, and have another ‘Daisy’ tunic, 2 Edwardian blouses, and another Edwardian skirt all cut out…and found THREE lengths of denim. Dear oh dear…
