I’m puzzled. We’ve done visual resources [#10], we’ve done written resources [#17]. We just did unexpected source [#24]
I have no inspiration WHATSOEVER for ‘favourite resource’. This has actually been sitting waiting for several weeks waiting for a moment of clarity.
1.a stock or supply of money, materials, staff, and other assets that can be drawn on by a person or organization in order to function effectively.“local authorities complained that they lacked resources”
synonyms: assets, funds, wealth, money, riches, capital, deep pockets; More
2.an action or strategy which may be adopted in adverse circumstances.“sometimes anger is the only resource left in a situation like this”
synonyms: expedient, resort, means, measure, method, course, way, scheme, plan, plot, stratagem, manoeuvre, machination, agency, trick, ruse, artifice, device, tool“so often her only resource is tears”
Nope. Not happening. No inspiration with regards to sewing [maybe ‘resources’ are too firmly linked to teaching for me to conjure something up?
Instead, as it’s my daughter’s birthday, [Happy 32nd Birthday Sarah!] Some things I have made for her…
Bridesmaid’s dress, at her sister’s wedding. Sarah is the blonde in the middle.
Those ‘lederhosen’ beer festival costumes for her [on the right] and her friends
Costumes in her first stage appearance, an amateur production of Verdi’s ‘Macbeth’. She was a scottish peasant, and one of the apparitions [Birnam Wood]. Can you spot her?
This copy of a pic sent by doc-daughter, using Butterick 6016
Here’s a reminder of the inspiration pic she sent:
Not bad huh?
Of course I made lots of things for my kids when they were small, but most of those pics seem to have vanished over the years, hey-ho. Somewhere there are more photos from the years they were extras in various operas…but I’d have to dig for those, and right now I have many many sewing tasks to get done for the weekend away!
Ooh! Just thought: ‘resources’ must mean my stash right? Well that would take several posts to document, so can also wait! Laters folks, work to do.
