New Look 6086 tunic, cotton lawn
Another top that was meant for the summer, finally completed at the end of October. Sigh. This is also another one of the patterns I snagged at the charity shop- 2 neckline option, 3 sleeve options, and a camisole top included- pretty good value.
I made this up in an embroidered cotton lawn, straight size 18. Fabric was a bit tight, so I omitted facings and went for binding, as I was able to get quite a lot pieced from scraps. I should probably have done an FBA, but hey, it’s for summer, and I sometimes leave off the bra and just wear a camisole for decency, so it won’t matter…probably.
I like the sleeve slits and side slits, they add a little something to a very simple top. the neckline is a nice depth too. More of these for next year, for certain, maybe with a double layer front if the fabric’s this sheer, and with the FBA!

I have that pattern! I keep looking at it, then putting it back in the box. Maybe I should add it to the ‘if spring ever returns to our land’ project list.

It’s one of those ones you can easily pass over, the cover art is no great shakes- but it does the job.

It’s GREAT. We cackled all the way through [instead of a few funny moments, the whole thing is very funny]

I read there was a lot of fun and improv involved.

I found it disconcerting at first- Thor is usually so pompous and formal- this was huge fun though.
