And here we are, a few days after the wedding. We didn’t make it to the evening do as planned, my post-medication headache forbade, but I’ve been given permission to snag as many pics from FB posts as I want. I know you’re all as nosy about other people’s weddings as I am, so here we go with my favourites so far.
And there we are. 2018’s wedding journey. Hope you enjoyed the ride, and maybe you’ll flashback now to LAST year’s wedding dress-for-a-friend. That was a MUCH longer journey, remember?
I have one more standing offer out there for someone who MAY tie the knot before too long. I like non-commission project sewing now and then lol
Ta-ra a bit [as we say round these parts] now I really MUST start doing my own sewing projects before the summer wastes away entirely
Beautiful! The black on white is stunning.

Blimey Elaine, I’m well impressed, that’s a grand accomplishment. I love how you just get stuck in and thàt you are pragmatic if things go awry. The bride looks amazing. You done good, I’d be hopeless, lace and tulle strike the fear of God into me.

I love lace, loathe tulle, but do like making wedding dresses. Getting that ‘wow’ out of the groom makes my day!

Brilliant. What a dress, will you make me one? The whole post and the photos have really made me smile, thanks DF. And the groom in shorts! Wow.

Oy! We had this discussion over some excessively sequinned fabric as I recall lol

Is there such a thing as “excessively sequined”? I think not!

Great accomplishment and a good story, well told – amazing to see all the work that this wedding dress required. Thank you 🙂 Sam the Aussie

Glad you enjoyed it. I think that this sort of detail is tedious in general, but for a wedding…well, we all love a wedding!

The fit is super. And obviously a dress she felt comfortable in. So comfortable she could bounce on a bouncy castle. That is really something. Happy days. What a shame you missed it!!

Thanks! I would have liked to go, but I don’t want to push it while I’m getting over this medication. Feeling a bit better each day, so should be fine soon.

I think it says it all about the fit that the bride went on the bouncy castle in it! Well done you.

Did you get the requirements of stunning and supportive in a bouncy castle? The dress will be an heirloom for the future bride who is lucky enough to wear it. Did you know that the groom would be wearing abbreviated pants to accompany such a lovely wedding gown? Nice that her hair matched the flowers and the girls’ dresses and flowers too…just darling! Who likes working with tulle? You did a great job!

lol yes I knew the grrom would be casual, but didn’t expect raggedy jeans! The bouncy castle was as expected, hence going for illusion neckline rather than actually low cut. I HATE TULLE, but the praise means a lot coming from you, so many thanks!
