That was me playing at being a police car. Ahem. Enjoy this for a moment while I compose myself
Style Arc ‘Nina’ cardigan in a totally LUSCIOUS striped knit from the good old Italian Textile Company on eBay.
Their description:
MODENA
A SUPERB COLOUR TONE INSTANT VISUAL APPEAL
THIS IS AN EXCLUSIVE FABRIC A SUPER FINE MEDIUM WEIGHT KNIT
THIS IS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO WORK WITH ONE OF ITALY’S TREND MILLS.

The instructions baffled me for a while as they told me to ‘babylock’ the hems… further on it said this was optional and a simple rolled hem would also work. This stitched easily with a dark greeny/black thread on a wide zigzag, ending up practically invisible.
I think it works well with all the other wardrobe choices…
The wife has her eye on this, so I’ll have to hide it!
Another triumph. Is there a best dressed teacher award?

I made a Nina cardigan in the spring and love the clever seaming and drape. Yours is lovely!

I’m very proud of the stripes, and may make a couple more to coordinate with everything. BECAUSE MY NEW ROOM HAS AIR CONDITIONING! I can wear jumpers again! yay!

Wow stripe matching in that fabric, well done. Sounds like a tricky one. Beautiful cardi, and it goes so well with the other blue/purple/green things. Did the striped fabric decide the colour choices?

The colours were already chosen for autumn, as I did all that sewing for SWAP in grey/red/black so they bore me right now. I was hungry for my favourites! Any excuse to buy from The Italian Textile Company tbh

It’s always nice when a piece is fantastic looking AND practical! It really does tie your outfits together nicely.

Is that what a police car siren sounds like in the UK? haha – I had no idea there was an “R” sound!
Lovely sweater! I can see it will be in steady rotation.
