CELEBRATE!

What a brilliant day!

I wore my new red cashmere coat to work, and started getting compliments before I even got into the building…I swear, if you need your mood lifted, wear red! [blog post as soon as I get pics]

My boss had followed through on my nagging of the previous days, and my job became do-able again.

My tax has been [mostly] reimbursed.

I only teach 6th form on Wednesdays.

I struggled alongside my year 12s with a very simple problem which nevertheless would not work out properly.  We all decided that ‘maths is broken’ because we had three simultaneously logical but contradictory answers, and no one had made any mistakes… a very able older student [and physicist] ambled in, and got dragged into trying to fix things.  He got the same three dodgy answers that I’d got.  Cursing, we decided that there MUST be something wrong with the question, and I resigned myself to a sleepless night as I knew my brain would worry at it until solved.  Then I had  a brainwave, and worked out the error.  the lads were so impressed they practically carried me shoulder high lol [Well I had a round of applause and high fives from them]

AND THEN

I got home and had some parcels to open…my GORGEOUS fabrics from Frumble, both very high quality…and MY NEW PFAFF WOT I WON INNIT?!

OMG It’s amazing!  I need to go play now, and will write a review very soon, but I can’t stop grinning and cackling…

WHOOP!

  1. Congratulations. Can’t wait to see pictures of your fabulous coat. Red is such a gorgeous uplifting colour. And winning a sewing machine wow. Hope it doesn’t sew fingers. No comment on the maths – I haven’t got over the trauma of having to re-do mathhs 101 at uni nearly 30 years ago!

  4. An excellent day indeed! And the Pfaff what you won!!!! What can I say? Other than I’ll need a review eventually as I’ve been using mine (like a taxi) for over 20 years so ……

  6. What a fabulous end to a fabulous day! Woot woot! Have fun playing with your new fabrics and Pfaff, but I am MOST impressed with working out what the heck was wrong with the math question (being beyond exceptionally mathematically challenged). You’re the best of both worlds: a math genius and a creative soul!

    I cannot WAIT to see your new red coat!
