Have you missed me? Did you even notice I haven’t been doing any normal sewing for AGES?
Well, I’m in an insane flurry right now, feeling unwell [some horrible stomach bug, I look like I’m pregnant] and marking three A level papers simultaneously. Bad planning, what can I say?
So I decided to cheer myself up with a little planning, as the end of term is approaching, the summer looms, and most of my summer clothing is decidedly scruffy. If I want to look halfway decent when venturing out over the hols, I need me some clobber. I was being SO virtuous with clearing loads of deep stash crud on those costumes, tons of old zips, buttons, scrap fabrics…but it seems that while in need of some therapy, I slipped off the wagon. Several times.
Here’s the haul:
Patterns, well, StyleArc had that 25% off sale didn’t they? And I do need some ‘boring’ clothes still, simple skirts and trousers…so I got these little loves-
Daphne Duo TROUSERS
My old Stacie denim jacket is looking a bit meh after many many washes, so another one of those may be in order. Barring the dress, these need to be in fairly plain block colours for maximum versatility.
HOWEVER, the fabrics I fell over and grabbed on the way down are all…cheerful lol

I feel a mammoth cutting out session is due…
